well i have an 89 240 with a 93 ka24de and my car wont start it crankshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mm7ZnzfUUms

that is what it does

i dont know what it is there is fuel spark and compression i am guessing the spark plugs arnt firing in the combustion chamber they were wet fouled but when i took one of the out and pointed it to the head it sparked and there was fuel in my oil which means the the engine got flooded and the gas went past the piston rings you know so what is causing the problem can you guys help me

How many miles... the cluster says 0.. or is that 100,000?

It could be one of many things..

You have spark. You have fuel.

Air is the last thing for it to sputter... But, it sounded like it did sputter and will not stay started (unless that was the wind).

I had the same issue, and I had to clean the MAF connector.. Its the wire going to your air box on the driver side of your engine bay all that way up front.

i think its problaby the car timing belt because every 30000 miles you have to get it change it might cost 200

KA24E / DE has a timing CHAIN.. It does not need to be changed every 30k miles.

It needs to be changed around 100k miles.. I changed mine at around 116k when I still had a KA in my car...

well last thing i think is your fuel pump fuse is disconnected so you might need a new fuse for the 89 240sx its like 1 or 2 dollar check your fuses

this is your issue..the rotor should be pointing at 20 degrees before top dead center...not at tdc...redo the timing man and the issue should go away..anjoy and post back with the results.

It would be 0 at TDC (engine off) and 20 degrees at idle for the DE engine, 15 for the E. Sounds like your timing is correct.

What's your firing order TS?Did it just all of the sudden start this problem? Or is there another reason this may have started, engine swap, rewire.............
