My 97 wont start, if I try to start it, it turns over once very weakly, then I have to try to start it again. My car has been sitting for a while outside, I know its not the battery, I tried jump starting still does the same thing. I am thinking it is the starter, but my car is pretty new (97) I think the starter would not go out so soon.Do you guys think its the starter? some thing else?Any suggestions?:help

thanks

man, i'm having the same exact problem. a few days ago i had let my car sit all day till about 12 at night then went out to start it to take it for a spin. it idled for 2-3 minutes then died out. tried to get it started again and never has been able to start. i have half of a tank of gas, im getting a spark, obviously getting air. the only thing i could narrow it down to is maybe fuel but i hear the fuel pump come on. i tried to roll start my car and that also failed. im clueless like you.

well, my car is sitting at nissan right now thanks to my impatient dad. nissan is also being gay and says it is mandatory to fix my egr valve before they let it leave their shop.

wonder how much this is gonna set me back

oh yea, mine is a 98 with a ka24de with 38,xxx miles well maintained miles on it

I havent tried to roll start my car like you, I just hooked up my other car to it via jumper cables to make sure the battery is not dead, but still if you try to start it cranks over once very slowly and thats it..

have either of you load tested your batteries? even though you've tried to jump start them, that doesn't mean it's not the battery.
