CAR WONT START!!!

Ok so i got my car fixed the other day and it happened to be that timing was off. Shortly after the car wouldnt start at all. When i turned the key nothing would happen, i charged the battery and still nothing when i closed the hood the power turned on and i could use the radio, pwr windows, etc. but when i tried to start it, the car didnt even make an attempt to turn over it just died. Ive asked some friends and they think it might be a ground wire thats not attached, so if anyones got any idea let me know.
