my car wont start, its not a dead battery, but every time something is turned on like interior lights or anything there is a clicking noise and my brake lights flash and so do my front amber lights at the same time it clicks. anyone have any idea whats wrong?

its a 93 hatch.

Sounds like it could be the starter... take it out bring it to autozone and have them test it for you

i heard somewhere that if you hit the starter with a hammer and if it starts after that then it is the starter?

and if so do you literally have to hit where the key goes in lol?

take a long pipe and rest it on the started, then smack it a few times and it should start, go out-buy new starter

Make sure you connection to the battery is good, and that there isn't any corrosion on it.

Clean it with coke or baking-soda/water and tighten down the clamps.

Check all the connections that goto the battery. It sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere.

Yeah it can be, but I can't really describe it. Just follow the wires from the alarm and remove them and then rewire it...undo the battery before you do it.
