CAR WONT START

her is the story... I bought the car a no start. the kid i got it from said it needed a starter and that it was gunna be a challenge because he had snapped the bolts. so i go get a new starter and go to put it in only to find the old starter was still there untouched! now the steering colum was all part and the ignition switch was not turning. So i got another ignition switch and tried that. STIll nothing! i all the dash lights come on and i can hear a silinoid clicking under the dash but no go. i jumped the starter and im def. getting spark and i can hear the fuel pump priming... any ideas?

Make it simple and just start trouble shooting.First off if you don't have a FSM I suggest downloading one. See that big flashing search up there? Use that to find the factory service manual.

Second off what kind of car do you have? 90'-94' 240sx? 95'-98' 240sx? turboed ka? sr20det? ca18det? give us some information.

you should just make a list of everything that could be wrong.Do you have spark?Do you have fuel?Does the engine turn over?are your injectors good?That is just some of the thing why your car won't start.

its a 92 ka, getting spark and fuel.. and maually turned over the starter just wont go with the key. jumped the nutral saftey switch and i can hear the relay clicking

Are you pushing the clutch down when trying to start it?

battery, maybe?

battery is good.. i think its the negitive battery cable gunna replace that and override the clutch switch.. thanks guys ill let you iknow what happens.
