Yea, I've searched what I can.. and this is my first post on getting some help.. so please help

So, I have a 91 hatch, KA24de etc etc... its completely stock. and automatic

I put in the NGK iridium IX spark plugs300zx fuel filterand changed to synthetic 10 w 40 on my last oil changealso put in some fuel injector cleaner into my car during the last time i put in my gas.

So the car turned on the first time around last time, but the idle felt really weird.. kept dropping a little and just acting up. So I shut off the car and try to re start it.. but then thats when the car didnt wanna start..

It would choke like a mofo and I could smell the gas real strong. It just didnt wanna start.

So i put it into neutral and pumped the accelerator as i was trying to ignite the car again.. but it would continue choking.

after around 30 mins of doing that on and off.. it eventually worked but had to pump that sob like no tommorow when it decided it wanted to work.. the RPM would go up, but if i let go of the accelator it would drop back down and id have to pump it again.

so any idea whats wrong? and what i could do about it? and some pictures would be REALLY helpful.

Really appreciate this. thanx.

Sounds like a messed up fuel pump.

If you let your car sit with gas in the tank for more than 3mos...it can destroy your fuel pump.

Did you double check that all your plug wires are secure? (make sure to check dist. cap to coil) and make sure they're in the proper order? That sounds exactly like how an engine behaves if you don't reconnect plug wires properly.

Recheck everything you did when you replaced the plugs. One of the "tricks" to see if it is spark related is just pull plug wires off while the car is running; if the car doesn't change when you pull a wire off one or more cylinders, you know you're not getting spark to that cylinder.
