Car Wont Start

I dunno why my car wont start. i left my garage in the garage with the door open keys not in ignition and my lights not on not even dome. the next morning i try to start my car to warm up.

All the lights on my cluster turns on like anyone's does when they put there car on. and the doors open so the thing is ringing and the radio was on. i try to turn it to ignition and nothing happens. it here a buzzing sound but no clicking of the starter. so just to be safe i swap batteries out of my bro's prelude and into my 240. the battery is only 2 months old and the prelude is driven as a daily drive by me and my bro when his car blows up. so it still is charged.

I slap it in and still no clickings of the starter or nothing not turning over. i hear the buzzing and that it and pull the key out and check all the fuses to see if any are blown. i checked the fuel pump everything is ok.

Do you think my fuel pump went out it has roughly 30k at most on it probably about maybe a year and half old at most too.

I have a 89 240 w/ SR20DET RedTop w/ a walbro 255lhp fuel pump.

Your problem has nothing to do with your fuel pump. Its a starter issue. Either the two batterys you'v tried with your car arnt good, you have a bad connection, or your starter is gone out.

Try to use jumper cables with the preludes battery and see if your engine turns over. Also, try to have someone crank on the engine and tap on the starter with a hammer, or whatever.

thanks ill see what i can do. But if the starter was going out woudlnt it jsut make tapping/clicking sounds coming from the starter?
