ok, so one day my mom was driving my car, parked it, came back to the car, tried to turn it on, and it wouldnt start..

when i got there, you would turn the ignition, hear a click, everything would turn on, but there would be no cranking... got the car towed, tried the next day and it turned on and started.... got the battery tested. it was bad so we replaced it..

so we put it in yesterday, tested it and it started... went to do a radiator flush, went to turn the car on to do that and it wouldnt start... whats the problem?

Clicking noise comes from your starter. The next time it doesnt start. Hit your starter with a wrench or small hammer. Dont slam it but hard enough. The car should start up but it means you have a bad starter. goodluck.

oh and dont buy and alternator until you make sure your is bad. You test that my taking a volt meter to your battery while it is on. It should read 14. Your battery alone cant be 14 so if it reads 14 while the car is on then the alternator is good.

^^^ Like he said...hit the starter with a tire iron, or a breaker bar..a few light taps will do.

If it starts after that, it's 100% the starter that needs replaced.

My car did this too when I just bought it and found out I had to replace the battery terminals and wires. Worked fine after that. Try small then go big.

shouldnt it not be the battery terminals though since everything else works?
