1990 240 KAEOk this time its a different problem. My starter is great, but my car will not start. My Diagnosis:
My old starter burnt on me, it spun when the motor was running...constantly, yeah well it burnt up. Anyways, I took it back and got aNOTHER one for free. I put it in my car, cranked the car , started right up.Drove it down the street. When I turned around for driving it for about three minutes, I was easy on it in first, and got on it in second. I shifted at 5800 in second and let off in third. Afer that it started misfiring.
Took it back to look at it, and turned it off. Checked spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. They look great. My fuel pump is working, I can hear it. Car tried to start, but wont turn over. Me and my grandfather(he is pretty smart on cars) believe the chain jumped when I got on it in second, no matter how we trid to advance/retard timing(turning my distributor), it wont start. Help, feel free to ask questions,......HELP?
P.S. I have the spark plug wires in the correct position on the distributor, I know the firing order, and I even checked after myself in the Haynes manual.
