car wont start

hi, heres the problem. basically my car wont start. i just changed the battery and the car still wont start. when i turn the key i hear a little clicking and nothing happens. all the lights and stuff work when the key is turned tho. this is the first time it has happened. if i need to explain anymore, let me know (i know my description of the problem is bad)...any suggestions on what to check are appreciated.

I've pretty much been through all starting problems with 240's....At first it was my battery, than starter, than alternator..slowly one by one they started going bad...but after all that was changed....I still had starting problems..and the mechanic was tripping out because he didn't know what else it could be until he discovered that some sensor's effect starting...I think for my car it was the Radiant/Coolant sensor, or something like that, and in my friend's 240 his starting problems were due to a knock sensor, so make sure you check the sensors as well...

1) Is there any corrosion on your battery? Try changing out the terminals to new ones anyway if you are still using the stock ones - those things are flimsy and corrode like hell.

My main problem was that I installed some stuff (fog lights, alarm, etc) and the ground or positive wire connecting the battery was kinda loosey goosey.

2) Do you have an alarm w/ starter kill? Disconnect and try it.

3) Have you done the starter test?

- you need 2 ppl- one person cranks- one person takes a bat, breaker bar, or something long and taps the starter to get it to start

do this in at minimal 15 sec intervals to save your battery and starter (just in case)

- if car starts up, then it's your starter that's bad.- if car doesn't start up, please review (1) and (2)- if car still doesn't start up, start looking up Bus schedules
