ok so last night i stayed up all night waiting for rain to go have some fun. i get in my car and put in my little security chip thing and my dash lights come on as usual and i try to crank my car and then everything goes black in the dash. i look down and see my little security chip is hanging half way out, so i adjust it and get it to fit right and then try to turn it over, but to no avail. my guess is that the security sensed something funny was going on and disabled my ride. has ANYBODY ever experienced this problem? i have got to get my car running again and fast. any input would be pure win IMO. let me know, and thanks in advance.

Well thats generally what happens when you have a bad battery connection. I tried turning on my car once and it did this. Everything turned on but when I cranked it all the electronics turned off. I knew my battery was still good so i just took a wire brush to the terminal and cleaned that sucker out. Hopefully thats your problem and nothing more serious.

Sounds like your battery voltage is too low to crank the car.

Test the battery, and if it's bad get a new one.

Check your fusebox, too, for anything suspicious.

well after ten minutes i decided to check fuses and found that the ignition switch fuse (fuseable link) popped from the security switch being half way engaged. and i will be sure to post in the right forums or atleast try to. thanks guys.
