i have a 91 240 ka24de and it started idling really low one day then when i come to a stop if shut off and then continued to do this all the way home...any ideas?? now it just wont start...it turns over but wont start. plugs are good and i think the compression is fine...any and all help is appreciated. thanks guys in advance.

also.. if you put an aftermarket intake on.. maybe one of your intake hoses popped off.. or even if you didnt put an aftermarket intake.. just an intake hose in general may have popped off.
got any friends with 240's nearby that you can try their mafs out? thats how i troubleshooted my problem. similar to yours

no aftermarket parts on it at all...but ill check clean the connector and check the intake and hoses tom....would this cause it to idle low constantly...cuz it started doin it out of no where...also what are the chances its the distributor?? how do i check the ecu to see if it will throw me anything?? thanks guys for everything.

Just pull the plug off, if corroded clean the connections with eletronic cleaner, very fine sandpaper on a screwdriver, let it dry, plug up and try to start..

so i disconnected the mafs and it looked fine but i tried to clean it anyway with the screwdriver idea. and ever since that it doesnt even crank. it just clicks....i did pull the distributor before though..would i have to reset that correctly or does it not matter...im lost...please help.
