Perhaps something is not grounding correctly?
I know I had a very similar problem a few months ago and also thought it was my alarm (or my fog lights, or my subs, or something). Basically no crank even though battery was 12v.
Here's what I did:- Completely removed alarm just for the hell of it to make sure,- removed all harnesses for my hid lights, fog lights, subwoofers, etc from connection to the main battery terminal- remove the negative battery terminal and let it stay off the car for a few minutes to let everything reset
Amazingly that last step was what allowed my car to start again. I later figured out it had to do partially w/ my alarm system (bad relay) and partially with the way I connected some of the harnesses to the battery (not good enough connection and some of the harnesses were not grounded correctly).
Hope that helps
p.s. And don't forget to send money for the steering wheel so I can ship it out already!
