90 300zx 2+2 JDM I was driving the other day and my z shut off and wouldn't start, it cranks but it wont turn over, already checked and its getting fuel right up to and through the fuel rail so I know it isn't the fuel pump, regulator or dampener, I changed the PTU as it was the old style that was recalled years ago, I assume it can't be a problem with the actual injectors as they all wouldn't die at the same time, my guess is there isn't any power to the injectors and they are not opening because the plugs are bone dry when I checked them after a couple attempts to start the car, I plan on checking the injector connectors later to see if they are getting a pulse when attempting to start but I assume not because the plugs are not getting any fuel, any suggestions?

Take a multi-meter and check them, should be between 10-14 ohms. Another thing you can do is take off the CAS from the engine, plug it back in and turn the key to the on position. Slowly turn the back side, you should hear the injectors click.

Yes, it is possible all the injectors could go out, the old style are known for just randomly stopping.

so I would just unplug the CAS, take it off, plug it back in and slowly turn the backside of the CAS? this causes he injectors to open and close(tick), do this with the battery hooked up?

So I removed the CAS and turned it while the key was in the on position, and I didn't hear any injector sound or anything, then I decided to check the connector on the CAS to makes sure it was getting power, I turned the car on while I checked the connector and got some light on 1 of the 4 connectors(using just a power tester), so I assume the CAS is getting power but just isn't working so my injectors are not firing, the battery at the time wasn't fully charged so today I charged up the battery and im going to try this again to see if I get any sounds while turning the CAS. At this point I think I've found the problem, I've already replaced the PTU because it was the recalled one. If anyone can think of another possible problem please post and let me know, I was also thinking about checking my ECU to make sure something isn't messed up there, I've checked the fuses and some relays, if anyone could let me know of there exact location I could check them again to makes sure its not just simply a fuse problem.

Is it possible to check the injectors with a simple power tester? or would I need to break down and get an ohm tester(I eventually will but im not rich at the moment), if so what would be the best way of doing so?

Since all of the injectors seem to have "died" all at once, your CAS is probably shot. Get a good used one, plenty of people have them. Or pull one off a J30 in the junkyard.

EDIT: and have you checked for codes?

I was actually have trouble getting my ecu into mode 2, I turn the screw fully clockwise wait 2 seconds then turn it counter clockwise fully and it just dosnt start blinking, the key is in the on position and the car is off, ALSO I was thinking about checking the resistance on the CAS connector, does anyone know what im looking for as far a ohms on that connection?
