Hey guys I was running some wires under the dash and now my car wont start its a 96 nissan 240sx se Manual. The only thing I touched was I unplugged the wire that runs to the clutch that is connected to a trigger that the clutch presses when it is not depressed. But it might also be a fuse I guess. The radio works but the amps do not turn on and my gauges on the dash are bottomed out and not even the turn or hazard lights work. And the engine will turn over but it sounds like it isnt getting any gas... So im guessing fuel pump is gone too.

Please anyone who has any idea I'm kinda stuck. And thank you in advance.

I'm pretty sure its your neutral safety switch double check the pedal there is a little plastic grommet that push's the switch in and sends the power somehow to the starter. the sensor itself is on the back of the transmission. its likely you knocked the plastic piece out of the pedal by accident or it fried it somehow unplugging it, not sure I know my car still to this day has neutral safety switch issues I have a push button wired up in case it decides to completely s*** on me one day.

Hey thanks for responding but it is not that switch it is the switch that it is engaging when you are not on the clutch pedal (when the pedal is in the upright position. I disconnected that and everything stopped working even when I plugged it back in. My car is turning over its just not getting any gas.

Ok this is going to be embarrassing especially because I would like to think of myself as a pretty decent installer.

Soooo I failed to mention that I had loosened some gold bolts that seemed to hold two pieces of white plastic to the metal behind them. The one that is directly over the fuse box. So you can guess what I did. Yes gentle men I loosened the grounds for every single thing controlled by that fuse box.

So I just finished tightening the bolts back and everything works perfectly. my car reeks of gasoline because I flooded the cylinders trying to start it so many times. But you live and you learn... I guess. Jesus that was dumb and a waist of time.
