hello im new to the nissan comunity so lets introduce myself by telling you my problems.ha
My 93 coupe wont turn over unless i put in nuetral and pump the gas at the right time while turning key, then once it does turn over i have to keep lightly pumping the gas or it will drop down to 0 and shut off, during this whole dance i also have a horrible sputter and missfire from my car and to top it off it wont even rev past 4000 rpm even in nuetral...also while driving its doing a little jerking motion, havent realy driven it on real roads just around the block once...all info/links/help are appreciated...thank you

There can be several things that is happening with your ride, but I had simular problems in the past that you can check out to see if this relates to your situation. Japanese cars are very tempermental that means you want to stick with oem or Japanese tune up parts if possible. I ran into simular problem you discribled and discovered when I replaced the factory filter with a Fram fuel filter, and my 240 didn't like it. It wouldn't rev over four thousand and it just ran like crap. This was the first time I change the filter since I got my ride so I took the Fram out and replaced it with an oem filter and it ran great. The other time my 240 had those type of problems was when I used the Splitfire spark plugs. That problem was instantaneous so that was quite clear what I needed to fix. This might help or this might not, but it's something to check out.

thx for the input but my car is pretty much engine stock exept for a msd pack and aem intake and theirs no way thats the problem since the cars been driving fine for several months...i know this is going to sound like a noob but i left the hood off my car while doing a transmission swap and i was out of town for about a week...during this week we had huge rain storms...like flooding and worse than ive seen here in probly 2 years...my cars engine was exposed to this weateher  so could that be it? like its not able to run right because waters keepin it from firing properly or something? as you can tell i dont know alot i swear im tryn to learn but have no one exept the internet atm to teach

you could easily gotten water inside a connector. try unpluging every connector one at a time and using compressed air and electrical contact cleaner in each one. check inside your distributor cap, and each of the plug wires. check the spark plug tubes.

did you clean/dry out all the connectors? and inside the distributor cap? and down inside each spark plug tube? and inside the fuse boxes?

the car just has to be on, the engine doesnt have to be running. just has to have codes stored in it, so make sure youve ran it since any battery disconnections.

your car is not obd2, so that code reader will not work.

You need to start checking vitals. Fuel pressure, spark from each cylinder. Have you tried starting fluid? Unplug mafs and try starting it.

Ok so i finaly got car started...Replaced starter and all fuses found a rats nest of wire with a hidden fuse not connectd to the box...Well she finaly started up but with all the problems as before when i had her running right before she died.Except this time I tried unplugging the maf and running it...it was able to hold idle( somewhat...1.5k and would jump seemingly randomlyl) still horrible sputter...Took it aroundthe block 1st felt fine 2nd fine but in 3rd it started actingalmost immedietly like it was timeto go to 4th...so i wentto 4th and immedetly started dropping power so 3rd...2nd up a hill with the pedal fully depressed in 2nd and sputtering very badly...im guessing new maf? But my maf to me looks fine...it has the two fuses intact and the look silver not black and sludgy...but i'm going to goahed and change it just in case...also while im at it i want o just upgrade to a z32 maf...can some one tell me what i need to run that settup? I know better fuel to compensate for air but a little more detail plz...
