car wont raise rpm's

ok im needing help bad!!!! please someone help i have done a tune up on my 1989 nissan 240 sx new plugs, wires, distributor cap, fuel filter air filter i had went to start it in part its idleing around 7 to 9 hundred rpm's when u put it in drive it drops to 5 hundred rpm's i let it run to reset the fuel settings and had the battery off for 15 mins and nothing i got in it to drive took of alright drove good for 5 mins if that came upon a hill and it dropped rpms and speed and about died car runs perfect and shifts fine just cant find the problem i have put about 300 into it the past 2 days i think im wasting my money on nothing if someone can please help me let me know what i need to buy and put on if not im sadly gonna have to sell this car for 800 bucks obo the car has 140k original miles...also the car is showing no codes on the gauge cluster and someone told me the ecu sometimes have a light that flashes slow or fast to show u codes no lights down there?thank you for your timebrad wilson

Check the MAF sensor, fuel injectors, Knock Sensors and sparks plugs and anything controlling them.

i checked the maf it was good i even put a extra one on there and it didnt help injectors are good and ngk v-power plugs are good havent checked the knock sensor i just drove it and its doing better just real bad denation and still no pick up at all

I don't think the KA24Es have knock sensors. With it running fine one second and then starts to act up, it sounds more like an electrical problem. Like, plug wires, coil, CPS....... It could also be a lack of fuel pressure. Check the pressure as well as any vacuum leaks; especially to the FPR. Check the TPS to see if it has moved. You should be able to tell by the bolt marks on it.

any way u can tell me where tps is at. and what the fpr and cps is?

fpr is fuel pressure regulator and cps is crank positioning sensor

how do u tell if the tbs is good or bad ? and in one of the harnesses that plug straight into the sensor a metal prone is missing but there is still 2 left would that make a difference and how do i locate the cps this is my first nissan and i know nothing about it

Bingo. If one of the connections isn't there, the ECU isn't getting the right signal. I wouldn't bother testing it as it's missing a connector so it's bad.
