well i recently installed the turbo and we got it to start up perfectly on the first try. We then fixed some oil leaks and took it for a tune session on the road. We tuned for low throttle and everything went smoothly. We then tuned for high throttle and blew off the IACV hose off the cold pipe. So we barely made it back home and then we developed an exhaust leak betweent the mani and block. So we hooked up back the IACV hose and now the car wont idle for nothing. If i let go of the gas, it will idle nicely for about five seconds and then the idle will become erratic and then it will die. What is causing this? We think the MAF may have went bad but who knows? I can drive the car on the road tho but its running pig rich at the moment. Under load, there is hesistation and when i come to a stop, i have to keep the revs at around 2K or else it will idle for like a couple of seconds and then die. Please help as this is my DD

MAFS or MAFS wiring issue for sure. No doubt about it in my mind. Check for continuity through the wires, shielding on the signal wire is good, and that the plugs are down tight. If those don't do it, then change the MAFS and see what happens.

Well since you blew the vac line off check around for any other hidden lines that may have blew off. Then re check your clamps to all of your I/C piping it may have came loose.

well i checked the I/C piping and my hot pipe felt a little too loose so i tightened one of the clamps. there is still some play, but not as much as b/f. As for the maf, everyone says the comp goes into limp mode when the maf is bad and the car shouldnt b reving over 2500 rpms. well that definitely isnt the case for me cuz i can definitely rev above 2500 rpms.

Another suggestion that ive heard is that it is a stuck injector. i find this to b highly unlike as i just had the injectors flow tested and cleaned about four weeks ago. I am also running stupid rich so i would think with a stuck injector, i would be running lean..............

I did try starting up the car today and it idled fine for about a minute b/f the turbo timer kicked in. I think it was mainly due to the engine still being cold but im gonna try it again today when i reach home. I am also thinking of resetting the ecu but i dont know how much good that will do for me

PLEASE post any suggestions as this my DD

Stuck injectors can still make it run rich. They are simply Stuck OPEN. Check your injector seals because everyone and their brother is having problem with those damn things. Also recheck your vac hoses.

so to check if the injector is stuck open, would i pull off the rail and then do what? also i checked the vac hoses, but they are all in tact. I messed with the injectors about 4 weeks ago tho and havent touched them yet. They were running fine when i was NA but i guess they could get stuck anytime..........so just pull off the rail and check the seals that sit in the intake mani?
