Car wont get into gear!

Hey whats up? I got a 95 240 se that wont go into gear, I been searching on here for whats wrong but the thing is i dont know d!ck about 240's. before the car would shift hard into 2 and you couldnt downshift into 2 without matching the revs. Sometimes it was hard and sometimes no prob at all. I got water under the shift boot cover. Can anyone help me out?

If it is just 2nd gear that is hard to shift into, it could be the synchro's. All other gears ok? Fluid level ok?

Dont you always match the revs?

Sounds like synchros to me too.
