i bought a 1989 240sx with ka24e i tried to jump the car ,when i turned the key it just click and the light dimmed ,i was thinking either the battery or starter but i charged the battery and same thing happend any clue

yes the starter is fine ,the motor won't spin when trying to turn the crank it turn almost a full turn then stop

Maybe explain this a little. Do you mean that the starter turned the motor a full turn before stopping, or that you manually turned the motor over by turning the crank shaft from under the hood, then it stopped?

If the engine physically will not turn, that's not too good. Have you ever heard this engine running?

If the motor is free to turn and the starter is good, but the starter won't turn the engine over, check your electrical connections. Starters require significant power to turn over the engine. Loose cables (positive and ground) can cause the starter to receive less than adequate power.

Just some thoughts.

no never heard the motor start,the starter workins but won't turn the crank ,so i took out the starter and try to manually crank the motor from under neath,i turn clockwise almost a full turn then stop,then try going counterclockwise agian it stop almost a full turn

You should be able to rotate the crankshaft continuously by hand with a ratchet/socket on the front pulley bolt.

If the crankshaft locks up, then there's internal damage. Could be a broken timing chain assembly component, broken cam(s), blown engine.
