I recently obtained a 90 300ZX TT which needed a Radiator, Alternator and Battery according to the previous owner. I purchased a re-manufactured alternator and a new battery as well as a new radiator. Everything was installed and I started it up when all of a sudden I heard a thudding noise so I shut it down, to realized that I forgot to tighten down the fan clutch bolts. Tightened everything down and tried to start it up with no luck!I spent the whole day trying to source the problem checking and rechecking all my steps. I ended up removing the cheap alarm that was installed thinking that this was the most likely problem. When removing the alarm brain I noticed that one of the fuses was blown so I continued removing it thinking this would remedy the problem. Alarm is completely out and car still wont' start. Everything turns on fuel pump primes but car will not turn over for nothing!

I need some suggestions because this car is wearing on me. I have two main fuses on the way since I read that this might be a potential culprit.

When you turn the key, does the engine crank and just not start or it won't even crank over?

If it cranks but won't fire, check the wiring at the front if the engine behind the fan. If the fan was loose and wobbling, it could have damaged the PTU/CAS wiring and in that case it won't fire up.

When I turn the key absolutely nothing, it doesn't even turn over or make any type of noise besides the fuel pump priming.

I checked all wiring that the fan blade could of came into contact with and not a scratch or wire out of place.

Ok ran some codes with the help of the link that was provided by Zwicked Came up with two codes#12 Air Flow Meter Circuit#51 Injector Circuit

Where do I locate these circuits

Found this by using the SEARCHhttp://zclub.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=289298The only problem is that my car will not run so how do I test? I checked all the connections and none of them have corrosion but a few do have cracked clips. Is there anywhere where I can purchase new ones to ensure this isn't the problem?

before you get too deep make sure your battery casbles are tight with batt terminals I know you said you just replaced it but if they are loose this would be your problem.

I've checked and re-checked the battery connections and I don't believe this is the culprit for my non starting issues, I wish it was that simple.

Would the idiot lights display on the dash if the battery connections were not making proper contact?

I just installed a brand new starter as well as a Ignition Relay Switch (DS Fenderwell) and car still won't start. I'm starting to think the alarm closed the ignition switch (Under Hood). I"m gonna have to wait till Monday to order a new one.

Hey I will keep an eye on this thead because my call will at times do the same thing. It is not the battery, I know that for sure. I just keep turning the key. After 5 or 6 times it will start up. It is very random when it does this but it has never just not started for a period of time. So maybe give that a try. Just keep turning the key.

Today I cleaned just about every connection with a small file set and CRC QD-Electronic Cleaner to eliminate the possibility of corrosion being the culprit. I even relocated my PTU. I'm really starting to think it is a hidden immobilizer. I have a mobile installer coming out tomorrow morning to install a Up to date alarm I hope he can get me up and running tomorrow so that I can enjoy the fruits of my labor.

There's a hidden connector on the side of the battery that I once forgot to connect. Is there power to the starter and all other electrical accessories?

Tried pulling all six spark plugs to see how the engine turns over by hand or if it cranks with them all removed? Any strong fuel odor, signs of fuel in the plenum or hydro-static locking?

Now after putting car back together after new injectors i am gettin the car to crank but no start. error code 21 is comming up but i already replaced it las year so not sure why that code is back again. I even put the old one back on and still same problem. Also i was messing with the wires on the cam angle sensor while battery was hooked up and my # 3 Coil pack started sizzling and getting very hot with this black stringy stuff started to come out of coil pack, not all coil pack jus #3. What is that about????? so really not sure what else to do. Pls HELP ME GET THIS CAR RUNNING. All light work fuel pump is turning onn, and smell gas so not sure this sucks. Also I have the ground wire from injectors fuel rail hooked up. And the two (double) ground wires hooked up by #6 injector and by #5 injector the single ground hooked up. I can not find any other grounds any where. I have seen pics of where they should be but unless there diff ground wires from the other 3 i mentioned.
