this only happens in hot weather. All winter car running fine. Have changed starter 3 times. Starter seems to be fine. Also have new battery. Read there is a relay that might be bad - can someone tell me where it is or if you have another suggestion I would take it.

Is the car turning over, but not starting? Or is the car not turning over at all?

From the Ignition switch to the starter is just a wire, no relay. I believe the battery is also wired straight to the starter. I am not sure exactly how the clutch switch works into the picture as I don't have the wiring diagrams in front of me.

If the clutch switch is bad you will not be able to jump the car and you won't even hear a click when you try to start the vehicle.

Car is an auto - no clutch. Get nothing but a click on the starter. After awhile it will start up just fine

hmm, i agree... go have it tested on-vehicle @ autozone for free. while you're there, might as well test the battery too
