I have a crimestopper car alarm that i have installed myself with a remote start option. Well today the remote start would not turn off with the remote so i would hear the starter grind on the fly wheel if i pushed the clutch all the way in.(like if you were to crank an engine while it was still running). Since the remote i had wasn't working i thought the batteries were dead so I went in the house and got the digital one. Well i went in the house changed remotes and went back out to the car. The second remote turned off the remote start but normally the car would start with the key after that. Here lies my problem. I also have a radar detector so i usually wait for it to do its thing then crank the engine over. This time the radar detector went and did its thing and when i went to crank it over it acted like it didn't have power to the starter. (i've had that happen before). So i checked the voltage at the battery terminals and the starter leads and they both read 12Volts. I jiggled the wires a little and went and tried it again. Nothing again. I tried un plugging the alarm and starting it. then tried to start with the remote start. Still nothing. By this time i was fed up with the car alarm and i had things i had to do so i cut all the wires that were for the car alarm and taped them off, went to crank it over and still nothing but i notice i could hear the egi relay's clicking 2 times once when i turned the key forward and once when i let go of the key. the only wires i had to splice into were the ones from the ignition to the starter and the acc wire. Does anyone have a clue whats going on with it?
