i had the same problem with my car starting sometimes and not other times, and the battery dying and jumping it working sometimes.
your battery may have died because the power cord isnt connected while your car is running, if u get it running. i had the same problem in my 240. the battery junk eroded away part of my power wire and i had to replace the whole sub-wiring harness, (cost=$95 because the wire i had, had a fuse box on it - and the new one didnt, hope i didnt get screwed.) theres a good chance your battery died for this reason. plus after swapping in a new harness i still had some problems and i had to eventually replace the starter a couple weeks later.
