I have a 1993 240sx. when I bought it the engine was blown so I bought one with 130,000 miles and dropped it in. now after I put everything back together the car won't run with the maf plugged in. when I start the car the toms jump and then the car dies but if I unplug the maf the car runs and idles. I replaced the maf and it's doing the same thing

You reset the computer by leaving the battery unplugged for a few minutes after you swapped MAFs? The computer needs to have the fault codes cleared so whatever it did to try to correct for the possibly bad MAF is set back to default. Otherwise, the new MAF won't help. Additionally, are you sure you have the correct MAF. It might physically plug in, but the pin arrangement could be incorrect if it's the wrong one.
