Car won't rev up

Ok. So I picked up a project. 91 SE. When I got it the wiring was laid but not all connected. Hoses weren't connected car didn't run. Started to play with it. Got it to idle but once I press the gas it will almost die or it will die. Played with the timing n for the most part is on point. Dizzy kicked my a** for a while n wouldn't start. Now it starts idles up a lil to about 800 than sslowly drops down. Get to the point where it sputters n pops at a low rough idle then dies. New cap n roter. Any ideas or test points please.

Lots of possibilities. I would definitely check for missing grounds, any air/vacuum leaks in the intake system, make sure your fuel lines or not backwards, double check all hose clamps and electrical connectors, etc. It's probably something simple.
