Greetings all, first post here.
2012 Nisan Murano - base model. The past 6-8 months I couldn't get my car to accelerate at what seemed like random times. Taking it to the dealership, they suggested changing the transmission (which was still under the 60k warranty) so they did. The problem still persisted but I couldn't get a clear way to reproduce it.
I noticed it was happening more often when it rained and told my service tech this at the dealership. His guys just checked for error codes, said none were thrown and it was "good to go". Driving out of the parking lot the problem still persisted. Did they even test drive it? :-(
Recently I've diagnosed that it 100% replicates whenever the 4-way flashing hazard lights, or a single turn signal is active. If I drive at any speed then hit the 4way hazard light, it feels like power is being "sucked" away and the car instantly just goes slower, until the hazard lights are turned off then it revs back up like normal.
Any ideas of what I can try to fix myself, or help me to steer a mechanic in the right direction?
Thanks so much!
