usually a sign of a mass air flow sensor going out.

The shop said it was the distributer. They told me to take it back to autozone and get one from nissan. (I'm not that much of a sucker, I already found an original in good condition.)

Def check your maf. usally when a maf dies or is unpluged it wont rev past 2500

Its the mass air flow meter. It will screw up like that and still wont throw a ecm code. I know it happened to me.

well, i dunno if this will help but when i had my talon it did the same thing and started to spew black smoke (dumping fuel) and kept boosting and it was a massive boost leak. kinda new to the nissan community, just sold my talon.
