Hello, new to the forums looking for some help :)

I have a 1995 S14, (sr20). Its running an AEM series 2 EMS (map based) forged pistons and rods (standard CR), BC 264 cams, nismo 740 injectors, straight through exhaust, 340lph fuel pump with a fuelab regulator set to base pressure and a topmount turbo setup with a GT3076 amongst other things.

The problem i have is I can only get the car to idle well at 13:1 AFR and below, as soon as i pull fuel to aim for 14.7:1 it starts to misfire and hunt around, the afr's and vaccum then start swinging around all over the place. If i richen it up it idles really smooth at 850rpm.

What could be causing this? I have done all the usual checks, boost leak check etc and found nothing wrong.Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

Yeah it's a strange one!! The only thing I can think of is my wideband reading rich but it's only been on for 500 miles so can't really see it being that

I do not know either but if the motor seems to be right at the richer af I'd be guided by that at least until you get a handle on things, the motor tells you what it likes at idle and pretty easy to be sure of it. Once you run it in some the engine will begin to act rich after a while once it gets really carbon coated in if it's a problem.
