ok, i was adjusting my headlights one night, so i had the high beams on, and i forgot about it and they were on for like 30 minutes. Car wont start, it dosent even try to crank, i get a click from the fuse box as i turn the key halfway though start, and a 2nd click when i have the key all the way on start. no other noises.

here is what i have done -

- checked fuses- charged battery, changed out battery with one that i know functions correctly- changed starter motor

what else can i do? all the electronics work like out of the factory; all i get is the prediscribed clicks from the fuse box. please help :(

edit - also, i plugged in the starter and screwed on the negative terminal and had somone start the car, the gear didnt move so i dont think any power is getting to it. but i know the battery is good, so what could be going wrong in between there?

did you double check the connections to the starter? the clicks are probably your electrical system turning on and off, i don't think it's related. double check all the fuses, in the kickpanel and inside the engine compartment, as well as your connections to the starter. It sounds like a simple electrical problem, finding where it's at is a pain in the a$$ though. Good luck.

is your car a manual or automatic? if its manual, maybe something with the clutch safety switch got messed up? I dunno, just an idea.

yep, battery works and starter works, and battery cable is getting power (got some sparks out of it) so either its a bad ground (which i doubt since i bolted it down as much as i could) or somthing is wrong with the signal wire / ignition switch. any ideas?
