I just finished my turbo install on my 95 240. I have a stock maf 370 injectors , and s afc2. The car has an eratic idle and will only idle a 550 rpms. I have tried to set dec-air and that does not seem to fix the problem.I tried to find a vaccum leak but was un sucessfull on that also. The line that goes from my old exhaust mani to the egr valve is not caped, I am not sure if that is the problem or not. If any one could help I would greatly appericate it.

how much vacuum do you have on the boost gauge? did you set up all the standard setttings for a 4cyl. car? not closing off the EGR will cause driving issues....but for idle, you have to cehck for vacuum leak or safc settings. and take that EGR off after your done with that. then let us know. tell us your safc settings while your at it

it can do either. i am not boosting at all . I really did not want to until i got it tuned. I am shooting oil out of the tail pipe. I believe that I either the oil ring on one of the pistons or my turbo seals blew. I don't think it is the turbo because it is new and i don't believe that it would cause an idle problem. I removed the pipe that goes to the ic from the throttle body, and replaced it with my stock intake just to see if the maf being on the intake side of the turbo was a problem. The problem was still there.

I doubt it's the oil seal from your piston because the oil would burn and the car would smoke.. I would check the turbo first

it does smoke. it was smoking before it was spitting oil. Can the turbo cause an idle problem

just because its burning oil doesnt mean the turbo seals are blown...it could be too much oil pressure, just buy an oil restrictor for the turbo. is your IACV hose hooked up to the cold pipe?

The IACV would actually only need to be hooked up behind the MAF somewhere for the car to idle. You will want to have it on a pressurized pipe though so that air doesn't flow out of it backwards under boost and waste boost energy.
