Car will not crank when key is turned

I have a 2002 Q45. Randomly, when I try to start the car, nothing happens. I hear a click but the engine doesn't turn over. I turn the key back and try again, and most times it starts. But, recently, it takes a few turns of the key to get it to start. This is purely random. Some times there are no problems and some times it won't start. today, it happened at least 5 different times.

Has anyone had this problem?

I've taken it to my local Infiniti dealer and they said that they couldn't get it to happen (just my luck), so they couldn't do anything.

I think it is your Starter my friend, or the starter wires.

Check your battery cable connections to be sure they're tight and corrosion free. Also, it was common for the starter relay to fail on the older Q45s, but I haven't heard of it yet on the F50 series.

had the same problem a few months ago with my 02 the starter was bad...
