You could wash your car with dishwashing soap, but it will strip all the wax off the car.

dishwashing soap cuts grease and wax is similar to grease, also its scratches the clear coat a little since it has a little percentage of abrasives. i guess you can use water and soap (dove, irish spring, zest, etc.) and then wax the car again.

Hehe. If you are going to wax the car anyway, using dishwashing soap might not be a bad idea, as it will remove all the old stuff (waxes, polishes, etc), from the paint surface. I tend to use it right before I polish/wax a car.

Yeah but for stripping the wax, nothing works better than dish soap. And I have a giant amount of wax build up...its nasty.

Dawn dish soap is what the pro's use.

And niSil, liquid dish soap has NO abrasives. You must be thinking about that powder stuff you use in the dishwasher. :D

LOL - nope. :D

Go to http://www.zainobros.com and see what they have to say.

Dawn dish soap, clay bar, then Zaino.

Just use Gojo gunk and a steel wool pad. Rinse with acetone.
