I just got my A/C sprayed for undercoat along with the clear coat "paint protection" done. Before anyone hops on to tell me I got ripped off, I had a friend that works in a Hyundai dealer do both for me for cheap (100). I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this, but there's a lot of bare metal underneath the car, and if you live anywhere with rough winters (that requires road salt) you might want to consider this!

Also my A/C is now as smooth as a baby's bottom

Cheers

No, the undercoat is not paint, it's some black stuff they spray on, and it goes on not smooth, it's almost like the texture of your wheel well. And it's supposed to protect the car against rust since there's a lot of bare metal exposed on your bottom. Again, I'd only bother doing this if you get the usual snow dumps in winter, otherwise don't bother.

The paint protection is just a high-grade wax that provides a clear coat for your paint. I was told that at max you'd only need to do this once a year (besides the regular wash, then wax @ home).

I have the rust undercoat as well and I have to get it checked every 2 years from the dealer for any cracks and what not....it was only an extra $9 a month...and i was planning to keep the car for a good 5 years.....but im still debating that with the amount **** thats gone wrong.....

.....I saw an advertisement in Road and Track where it was saying how the same kinda quality control that goes into the the GT-R goes into making an Altima....i almost spit my drink outta my mouth.. ..it was pretty funny, if only that were true and if only altima were actually built in Japan, i'd be very happy and satisfied with the car....along with a few other ppl....talk about FALSE advertising.....i really felt taken advantage of and really wanted to sue Nissan's ***...
