I'm not any good with cars but I've started on the path of trying to learn them. My 240 sat for most of the winter and now I have a problem keeping it running. It cranks up just fine but unless I keep my foot on the accelerator, it cuts right off. I want to fix the problem myself but I don't know where to begin. Help a brother out!

you could help yourself out there .. just click on the search button at the top right corner.. it's red... and search the archives and you will find a lot of info. People have had your problem before and i know it's been solved so check that out

hmm if you know nothing it is best to start with the search button... but i'll give you some tips on what to search for... AIV <---- very importaint one... also.. check you plugs/wires, O2 sensor... MAF sensor.. hmm at what speed does it idle? is it low? you can set your idle higher but that might just be masking the problem.. search for "high idle" and it will bring up tons of stuff on that... just remember always use the Search first then ask..

Also.. ALWAYS list the year of the car and what engine it has... you can see what engine you have by opening the hood and looking at the metal plate in the back left hand side..
