we need some numbers here, to make it easier to get them answered

first turbo was the corvair and first fuelie was the bel air though

and the '68 ZL-1 Vette

oh, the Deville has the biggest FWD as well as fiberoptic tail lights and what not (cadillac is probably the biggest innovator in automobiles ever, I believe they had a DOHC motor in 1938 or atleast a SOHC)

Before we kneel down and give thanks to GM, this is the same company that gave us the Vega, Citation, and Aztek. Yuk

Now wait... the Deville didn't switch to FWD until the mid 80s, and the biggest engine available was a 4.5 liter. Pretty big for FWD, but not the biggest by a long shot....

ok, this car was one of the first major factory produced supercharged cars, it was available with either an AOD transmission or a Mazda built 5 speed that had a first and second gear slightly more aggressive than the Tremec T-5 found in the mustang of the same year. This car was originally built to compete with larger touring cars offered by BMW and Mercedes. When it debuted in 1989, many saw the styling as a sign of cars to come.

Performance wise it produces 210 hp at 4400rpm and peak torque of 315 ft. lbs. at a mere 2400rpm. It was capable of pulling .85g's on the lateral skidpad, and a weight balance close to 54/46 give or take a few options. It was also one of the first cars to start running on 16" aluminum wheels. Sadly the quarter mile times of a mid to low 15 sec run.

Some people, while working under the hood of these cars, wonder what the hell the engineers were thinking with placement of certain accessories, and the overall dimesions of the engine bay. Most first timers for changing spark plugs will spend upwards of a few hours fighting with the wires and getting the plugs started.

This car was also the 1989 Motortrend COY.

What is it?:D

Give me time and I'll find something hard...

On a sidenote, Delorean rocks, I hear he's trying to get another company started, a lot of idiots often overlook all the things he did earlier on in his career and focus on the damn stainless gullwing contraption, bet that'd be a nice car to have up north will all that salt though, assuming you can work on it yourself anyway...

EDIT: while looking for info on that beast known as a FWD 500Ci Eldorado, I found this

http://www.buckshaw.com/peter/index2.htm

Figured you might find it amusing Stoney:D

was the aerospeed car the one that hit 205mph with the 3.8SC?

tsk tsk and to think, my car was called a piece not long ago, well ok, my actual car isn't in that great a shape right now, but it runs reliably (sporting you standard ford PS pump leak and whine though) it just looks like a thrown up rat from a snake or something. Sure to look even dumber when I get some cheap racing seats in it while I attempt to repair the big ol 6 way powers in it....

ugh, I can only imagine the FWD V8 plug adventure...the biggest hinderance on my car is the IC piping, I'm guessing the whole motor placement on the Caddy is it's biggest problem:D

yup , why they have that damned engine in the caddy like that is beyond me

is the body stright on it at least ? if its just paint id just repaint it myself with black primer "stealth bird" , as for the power steering pump , im think the same engineers did work on the 4.9 power steer pump , seems ford never got that pump right

yah the aerobird went 205 , pretty good concidering it started life as a production bird right off the line , no tube frame monster here , bill ellitot drove it to that speed if i remeber correctly

hear about ford killing the bird a second time ? last year for the J.-Mays Retro bird

yeah, they're all like "we'll limit the production number to make it a collector's car" I personally like the styling, but if I was the CEO of Ford, I think I'd have been all like "hey, if we're going for nostalgia, we might as well chase the vette again" which they decided not to do:(

My body is pretty straigh except for the hood (the douche before me ran it under a trailer hitch...) and the stupid parking lot dings

as far as paint goes, it's gonna get reshot in black, but with about 15 coats of clear coat so I can try to blind airplane pilots with the sun's reflection off it. I plan on getting another motor to get crazy with so I don't grenade the #'s matching in hopes of the car actually rising from about 2 grand in value. With a different motor, I'd like to push about 350hp (should give me over 400lbs of torque easy:D) As far as wheels go, I kinda wanna get some newer "bullet" wheels like the mustang GT (I think the charcoal and gray would look neat) whenever they make a knockoff that will fit my lug pattern (ford sucks, there's a 1/4 inch difference between the T-Bird and mustang...) Gonna do susp. mods so I can plant more power as well as chase K Skwerel's S13 around like a Killer Whale chasing a baby seal (he finds it amusing to call it a docile whale:() I gotta find another car too though, I'm thinking about trying to get a 280ZX in need of a harmonic balancer for a daily beater(I'll fix it too though I swear) or if I could afford one in good shape, an older Toyota 4x4 pickup (straight 22r! and turbo that sucker!). Aghhh all that's gonna be exspensive...

I got a question now though! Might be easy, might not depending on your knowledge.

Only one year in this model's 50 (49!) years, name the year and model that you won't ever find in a private collection because the only way you're gonna see this one car is on Chevy property?

I think I need to go knock off a bank now or something...

j/k you damn crazy FBI guys! I know you're watching! uh...reading!

Name the only car on the U.S. market to be quad turbocharged from the factory, and name the one and only year it was officially sold in the U.S.

The GT90 was never a production car. It was a 1995 prototype.
