I got a quote from the guy at car toys to install my Amp and Sub, he said this:
If you have the factory radio you would be looking at $100 for install plus parts. Amp kit should be $49.99 and a line level convertor $29.99..

Is $100 a good price for install?
And $50 for the amp kit?
And i have no idea what the convertor thing is?

$100 would seem reasonable for an install. It really isn't that terribly difficult, but if you're not comfortable doing it on your own I would say you don't seem to be getting ripped off hard.

$50 for the wiring kit almost sounds probably about right. If I were you I would verify that it is at least a 4 AWG kit.

The line level converter changes the audio signal from a speaker-level signal to RCAs that the amplifier can use for input. No way around it with a stock stereo and $30 is about the average market price.
