Man, sorry to hear about this. Was it fully insured, or just liability? I am gonna install a concealed fuel pump kill switch on my car that I can hit everytime I leave the car in a "bad" area of town. That way, they can only mutilate the car, and not steal the whole thing.

Anyways, I hope you find the car AND the thugs that did this to you. I would absolutely die if this happened to me, so I can only imagine how you are feeling now....

there is no doubt that with the 240sx recent rise in popularity it will become a "hot" car among car thievs. So like you said Ram i will also be installing a hidden fuel pump kill switch. So could someone do a write up on how to wire it, or let me know or something? Ive never touched my fuel pump.

I'm not sure if doing a write up would be the best idea. Let's everyone know how it works, including the people that shouldn't know. By the way, is that a picture of a girl autocrossing? Also, I am guessing this is in San Diego?

is there anything about a 240 (s13 or s14) that makes it easier for theives? we've all heard the saying "if theives really want your car, they will get it." i already got a kill switch wired up.

Well yeah. If the thieves really wanted your car, then there is nothing that you can do. They will bring in a u-haul or similar truck, and friggin' wench the car right into it, regardless of fuel pump switch, alarm, steering wheel locked, etc.

But, with regards to the fuel pump cut switch. Yes, everyone knows about them. But it is finding the actual switch that is DIFFERENT for EVERY car. I can have it up under my dash, where you can have it under your center console, and our friend can have it in behind the glove box.

As far as wiring it, it is SO simple. I don't know the wire color on the 240sx, but all you need is a multimeter. You'll see a series of wires coming out of two plugs where the fuel pump access hatch is in behind the rear seat when you pull up the covering/carpeting. Locate the plug that only has two wires. All you have to do is turn on the ignition and find the wire that powers up the fuel pump (switched 12 volts). Then, just cut that wire (with the ignition off). Connect a couple feet of wiring to each end of the wiring you just cut going to the fuel pump. Then, run both of those wires to a hidden switch somewhere in your car. The switch can be almost any switch, just atleast it is an on/off switch, like from RadioShack or any electronics store. Whenever you are wanting to disable your car, just flip the switch and WAH-LA. The engine may run for a few seconds, but it will cut off after that and will be almost impossible to start afterwards until the switch is turned off.

I only advise that when you install the switch somewhere, please make sure you secure it down, and you place it somewhere that it cannot be accidently triggered while you are driving. The worse thing you want while you are driving, ESPECIALLY if you are boosted, is to cut off the fuel pump. No fuel = detonation, and can seriously damage your engine, especially during WOT runs.

Seriously F'ed up. That car definately wont be roaming the streets. It's probably gone to a chop shop n torn apart. Sorry for being pestimistic and sorry for the lost. I hope that it turns up in good shape and the perps behind bars. GL on the search.

I was talkin to a friend today. He has lojacked installed on his nissan. He got it put in for 400 bucks at the local nissan dealership. From what he says lowjack is perfect, undetectable, and easy. Anyone have experience with lowjack, does it actualy work?

Thanks guys!

One of the easiest things to sell are rims.

The rims that were on Thao's car at the time it was stolen were Keiichi Tsuchiya KS-05 wheels. They're white, 16x7 and 16x8. 4x114.3 lug nut pattern with a +35 offset.

I also would like to mention that those rims do not belong to Thao. They were loaned to her for Texas DriftShowoff last April by my friend Yuri. So the person(s) that stole Thao's car also stole from Yuri as well.

If these wheels show up anywhere, eBay or other forums. Please call or email Thao immediately @ 310-508-0788 E-MAIL: [email protected] You can also email me at [email protected] and I'll make sure Yuri gets the message.

It can safely be said that these wheels are probably the only white, 4-lug, 16x7 and 16x8 set in the US.

Here are some pictures for illustration.
