car still gets hot

i need help i have a 1993 nissan 240 wit a ka, im building the motor and i noticed that my temp gauge is goin up towards the H, so i changed the thremostat and its still doin it, what can be wrong

couple things i just finished fix a over heating issue on my Ka24deit all depends my car would over heat at idle so i thought waterpump is bad i swapped it didnt work so i changed t-stat didnt work and the clutchfan was brand new so i knew it couldnt be it. it never got hot when i was driving so then it hit me . the kid i bought the car from took off the fan shroud and boom 13 dollars at a pick a part junkyard and now my car does not over heat. so yeah this could help or not if not oh well heres a free bump good luck

to make it look alot cleaner and elinate the clutch fan being at fault u could always just wire up the a/c condensor fan, thats what i did i got rid of the clutch fan, wired up the electric fan, and removed the fan shrowd mine doesn't go past the half way mark and it makes the engine bay look much cleaner, i'd say try flushing your coolant system, and make sure ur installing the thermostat the right way....

have you tried checking ur coolant level? Just checking.

Try bleeding your cooling system. It is a real common problem on the KA and is a ***** to find. You just pull the radiator cap, and then remove that little screw on the hose barb on the intake mani, in front of cyl 1. Fill the coolant until coolant comes out of there. Then jump on the front of the car until the coolant level falls a little and do it again. Then drive around and get it hot, remove the cap (BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!), and then that screw (again, BE CAREFUL!!!!) add coolant until it comes out again. Do you have the problem after you do that?
