Next will be a subwoofer box... I am looking to make something that goes under the carpet next to the spare tire in the trunk. If anyone has some detailed pictures of a stealth box (or dimensions) I'd appreciate it!

I'm still mad at the price of the dash piece if you want to install an aftermarket headunit.

I always install my stereo equipment in the nude. Isn't that normal?

It just takes time an patience. I installed an amp rack, 2 amps, component set, midbass, and a rear fill coax speakers in a parking lot while I was TDY at school years ago. Just need simple hand tools. Sounded great! That was in my 97 Firebird Formula...For the G, I decided to let pro's do it.

Its not so much the trim piece but the climate controls. But I agree, I'm mad at it, too...adds an unnecessary $300 to a new system.

But yeah, it does look good. I like it. Do all of the kits come with the option to go single din?

No sweat - just get the FSM instructions. I had to do it twice to install my ipod adapter.

I have the factory NAV - so eventually I might go aftermarket - since the kit is double DIN I will add a DVD monitor head-unit here. Looks just as clean and keeps the factory pop up nav screen. The loss of the dual climate zone is not that noticiable. With the kit I'm imagining it will cost a grand or less.

Yeah, you mean the black trim piece? I ended up breaking it a little.

If anyone notices I made a scratch on my ash tray cover (look at pics above) anyone know if I can get paint to fix it?
