Car starts, then dies.. instantly

I just installed an intake.. basic filter/MAF adapter add on.. i never dropped the MAF, or anything of the sort, i hooked it all up, and went to start the car, and it cranks, starts, then dies.. i checked all hoses for looseness, and leaks, and found nothing.. is my MAF dead?! also, when the car starts, if i rev, i can keep it going, but only until like 2700rpms

Make sure your maf adaptor is aimed at the resistors in the maf. IE It's offset.
