car starts sometimes.

my car will only start if its the battery is jump started, however i dont think its due to a dead battery, because ive charged this battery fur 5 hours wit a battery charger and my car will not start but radio and all the electrical things work, when i do boost my car it cranks 2-3 times over before it starts up, i recently installed a starter, but the bolts snapped off when i took the old one out, so i went to the store nd jus got simulare bolts(i dont think they are as tight as the stock ones are) anyways any ideas? new battery? bad alternator? get original bolts?
