car has the following: · JDM SR20DET (Redtop) on S14 chasis· Power Enterprise 1820 Turbo upgrade· Greddy Type S BOV· Apexi (GTR) FMIC· ARC Titanium Hood Panel (cool plate)· Z32 Fuel filter· SARD FPR w/Jegs liquid FP gauge· Power Enterprise 550cc injectors· Z32 MAF w/tomei Plug· Walbro 255HP Fuel Pump· Greddy Turbo Timer· Greddy Profec B· Apexi S-AFC

it was driving oks this morning until my friend played with the Apexi S-AFC, then we tried to reset it. the car starts good but bogs downquickly as it hesitates then i press the gas and goes good from 2000-3000 rpm nice engine sound then once u let it go it will sputter and dies. does anyone with apexi safc help me with the basic setting for which it can idle good atleast and be drivable. i need the car to get started and running so that i can bring it to a shop so they can tune it. or is something else is wrong. :(

Look through your manual, manual should tell you a way how to reset the afc settings back to stock. He probably messed with your decel-air setting and that's why it idles crappy and dies.

not really sure about the car, i just got it a few days ago and started to drive it today, we really didnt mess with the engine. it was running perfectlly then, wash the car and notice my friend playing with the s-farc. from then on, the problem occured. since i was planning to get it tuned soon, we restore it to default setting. but still the same problem. i was thinking maybe something got wet inside the engine compartment, cause it has a carbon hood and you know they dont really fit good imo. some water got in, but not much, air filter was dry.

If you reset the SAFC, did you make sure you set it up for your specific car. You need to program the SAFC for the S13 SR20DET ECU and Z32 MAFS. On an SAFC2 its 2 in 6 out. Hot wire type sensor.

yep did all that. still the same. i tried to take of the maf and now the car is idleing . it might be the z32 maf = (. on the s-afc, when u put the key on ignition it tells me for the sensor check in-1= 0.4+ in-2= 0.00+thrt= 0.0+

can someone post theirs before i go out and buy a z32 maf

The MAFS was probably throwing a code. When you disconnected it and plugged it back up again it probably reset itself in the ECU.
