My 93 j30 150k starts and then dies out. could this be the fuel pump or the injectors? Please help! I had it towed to my mechanics and am waiting till morning to talk with hi. What should I expect?

Try holding the pedal to the floor when you start it, as soon as it starts, let off the pedal and only hold it in about an 1/8th of the way for about a minute or so, just keeping the RPM's at around 1300 or so. This could be the problem, it could not be, but these cars tend to flood out, especially after they are run and then shut off before reaching operating temp.

Does your fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition? If it does, that's not likely it. Listen for a sort of sucking click.

Second place to check is your MAF, it can be clogged or dirty which is causing the engine to die.
