Bad MAF? Black smoke out of the exhaust?

Really bad boost/vacuum leak?

Good luck.

blueish? wtf.

sounds like a combination of running too rich and burning something sketchy. Perhaps you hooked up a coolant line into your intake manifold? Check that. Seriously. And then make sure your maf isn't too close to your turbo, but it definitely sounds like a maf problem...

Blow headgasket at worse. $300 with your own labor.

im pretty sure its not a blown headgasket. just finished putting in the apexi hg last month. I unplugged the maf and it doesnt make a difference. It does the same thing with it plugged in or out. I think its in limp mode and throwing in a lot of fuel reason for the blueish smoke. Anyone know how to test a maf?

I had this problem Happen to me on first startup i checked a combination of things and one of them fixed it, check for a vac leak also after i detirmined that that was only half the problem my O2 Sensor was bad youll know it because itll crank up and run but itll be really rough and the only way to get above 3kl is to ease on the gas but it just dumps fuel at start up this is the reason for the blue smoke it acted as if it was like a bad tps because it would respond at wierd throttle angles and ran really rough when i gave it too much gas, try the O2 and check for vac leaks thats the cheapest way to start i dont think it will be a bad MAF. The only reason for blue smoke is too rich gas, turbo oil leak from bad seals and bushings,or a bad ring. but if its white smoke and you have low coolant and theres water in the oil , the head gasket is blown then. Check compression if you think its the head gasket it usually blows between cylinders 1&2. Good Luck

Why not just disconnect the O2 sensor and run it without it? I've ran my car like that for a bit before and it idle smooth and revved up fine.

alright guys i fixed the problem. It was a bad ecu. Good thing i had a spare ecu on hand. My led inside the ecu would stay lit even after i started it up, meaning a bad ecu. Thanks to the search button here on nico i found that out! Also thanks to everyone who helped out!
