Ok so i've been studyin up on the 5-speed swap and came across a write up that said the car will start in any gear with the clutch pedal depressed it didnt say how to fix it.

Is this true? and if so how can it be fixed?

It's true, and I don't see a problem with that. And I think it's a good thing, because if my clutch brakes I can just put in to 2nd gear and and start it. And then you turn off the engine every time you need to stop. And you just make it to a shop this way with out getting you car towed. It's probably not the best way to drive but it works. (until you starter is dead that is)

even vehicle that came straight from the factory will start at any gear if the clutch is depressed; this is normal. but if you are coverting your automatic to standard you should worry about it starting without the clutch depress and you are in a gear. because if you are in gear and start the car without the clutch depress is will jump and will hit someone or something.
