car stalls when started

The 92 240 5spd im driving stalls on the first start attempt if not given any gas. After that it idles a tad low 'around 600-700' but doesnt stall after that. Shut the car off, start it again, same thing.

Disconected the TPS and the rpm's went up actually. Reconnected and they went down a little, and after a short drive, were down to 600-700 rpm.

Thoughts?

Idle air valve is clogged?EGR valve letting too much EGR back in?

It could be the tps. Check the output voltage. Should be one volt at idle(doesn't have to be exact)

Check your coolant temp sensor also. If the car thinks it is starting hot then it will not bring the idle up.
