Hi. I have a 92 240sx. When I get off the freeway and come to a stop my car stalls out. The RPM drops down and stalls out. Sometimes it goes down to 100 RPM and then back up to 900 RPM.

Another time after parking my car at school for 1hr. I come out and start the car. It started to idle pretty rough. Droping down and going back up. What could cause these problems to happen? Thanks.

Had this happen to me in my Acura with the bouncing idle. Would go from about 500-1500 rpm and bounce down again. I changed out my O2 sensor and that fixed it. Might want to check the voltage being sent by your current O2 sensor.

This has been covered many times in here and 240 tech, if you wanna search and read up on it. It is usually related to the IACV

You might try replacing the temp sensor Red Sensor top front of engine (not expensive and fairly easy to do) this sensor can have corroded wires from chemical or waterl engine cleaning and cause all kinds of problems concerning the amount of fuel the ECU emits to the Fuel injectors. Next try adjusting the Idle speed slightly at rear of engine at screw at the vacumn control valve. There are pictures of it somewhere in the KA forum sections.

I have a 91 240Sx and this has happened twice to me. Each tine the car would die when it came to a stop. Both times, within a few weeks and injector wen out. This happened within an 18 months of each other. By my experience, you have an injector getting ready to go out.
