car stalling - Need help

car is a 92 240sx auto coupe. stock

so when im at the lights and punch the gas at say 70% or more throttle the idle stumbles and the car dies.

If im at a stop and let off the brake in D and let the car pick up some speed by itself and then step on the gas it works fine.

im only having this problem when i try accelerating from a stop. any ideas?
