Car Stalling can't diagnose situation

The car was taken to various garages and mechanics were unable to diagnose the problem. The car stalls on the roads and suddenly the engine shuts off. The idle speed drops suddenly and if the driver notes this early and sees the engine dropping you can pump the gas a few times and the car revs and starts again. Otherwise, the car comes to a gradual stop and you lose power steering. Firestone and other mechanics were unable to diagnose the situation. A new air flow sensor was put in to rectify the situation but did not help. The check engine light does not show up.

Have you tried disconnecting the car battery for 24hrs or resetting the CPU?

I think this happen to my first car, a hyundai excel. Id be driving and the car would just loose power. Id have to sit there for a few mins til it started back up.I never got it fixed, and it only happen when it was cold outside.

id say less than 30 mins is enough to reset the ecu, possibly 10 mins.
